Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The 2009 was a tough one with the economies around the world slow and the moods correspondingly low, so it is a nice thing to look at the brighter side of life and listen to the good old Christmas songs again even if you have already heard them a million times.
I actually find it quite amazing how all this décor and lights and music lift up the spirits even in such a boring person as myself who is always pre-occupied with constant analysis and ‘thoughts’… I hope that enjoying the family time on Christmas will give you a long-lasting infusion of optimism.
I came back home from Singapore on Christmas Eve day via Greece to Cyprus, and it really cheers one up seeing this joyful atmosphere all around even when it’s the exact opposite of the famed ‘White Christmas’.

Some people find Christmas celebrations over-the-top and too commercialized but I do think that it’s the atmosphere that counts. What makes it into such a special holiday is not a Christmas Eve dinner itself but the anticipation, the build-up, the cheerful environment… The indirect factors, if I may say so…
Which brings us back to what? – Fascia, of course! The underlying fundamental background of musculoskeletal system that we deliver the mechanical stimulus to through ABR with quasi-static and quasi-isotropic applications influencing the movement limitations through indirect avenue…. Just kidding, I am not that paranoid J …
… On a more serious note, on behalf of the entire ABR Team worldwide I’d like to thank all of you for your partnership with ABR and your willingness to give us the benefit of the doubt even when certain things do not go as smoothly as we’d want them to be.

On New Year’s Eve we all have the expectations of better things to come. Call it irrational but that’s human nature – a good side of it that fueled the progress since the beginning of days.
However, this year, I think we have special reasons for optimism that stem from the new tools that were introduced to the ABR Toolbox in 2009.
I am talking about the new technique in particular – Super-Soft Ball Rolling Technique (if we use a simple name for it) also known as ‘Parallel Solitary Wave Emulating Deep Fascia Viscoelastic Stimulation Technique’. No real need to remember this fanciful name, although knowing the full ‘identification’ helps distinguishing it from the ‘classic’ ABR – aka ‘Perpendicularl Solitary Wave Emulating Deep Fascia Viscoelastic Stimulation Technique’.
However, names aside – what matters is the effect.
I feel compelled to share a bunch of exciting transformations that I have observed in the kids who had >1hour of Super-Soft Ball Rolling Technique during the last few months… First I thought about using just several pictures for illustrations but there is so much to share that I decided in favor of the videos.

Illustrates the effects of the structural improvements within an ‘Upper Cross’ on functional breakthroughs: 1) Circumferential ‘windmill’ movements of the arms backwards and forwards;2) weight-bearing on the arms and the push-up transfer in sitting; 3) Independent head control in sitting; 4) weight-bearing in a 4 point/Quadruped position and vertebral flexibility (disappearance of a ‘seesaw effect’)..
I hope that you have found those videos somewhat inspiring and I was able to pass along my enthusiasm and expectations of even greater things to come via Super-Soft Ball Rolling Technique. Over the last few weeks I’ve been doing a lot of training and explanations refining the teaching – today we identify 4 stages/levels of technical proficiency within Super-Soft Ball Rolling Technique. So far in 2009 we’ve been teaching Levels 1 and 2 only.
That’s why I am looking into the future with a lot of excitement. Super-Soft Ball Rolling Technique is incredibly easy to learn at the Level 1 of technical skill making it very user friendly, however there is plenty of depth in it for those who are looking for serious skill improvement and amplified efficiency.
